The Ask

Matchfire developed a comprehensive brand identity for Purposewerx, placing social impact at the heart of the visual language. A key element of this identity was a dynamic, custom-designed website that brings the collective’s purpose to life.

The site features immersive animations, seamless transitions, and interactive elements that engage users and communicate the energy and innovation behind the Purposewerx mission. Visually impactful graphics, layered textures, and collage-style imagery reinforce the brand’s authenticity and human-centered approach. Designed to be both intuitive and inspiring, the website provides a clear path through the collective’s offerings, values, and success stories. Each section reflects the collaborative nature of the organization while spotlighting the distinct strengths of its member companies. The responsive design ensures a seamless experience across all devices.

The logo features a custom typeface symbolizing innovation and impact, paired with a triangular, interwoven brand mark that represents collaboration. A sophisticated color palette—gray tones with a vibrant orange accent—conveys urgency and unity.

Visual elements, such as layered textures and torn-edge collage treatments, give the brand an authentic, tactile feel. Modern typography with subtle angular accents adds distinction, with outlined type used selectively for emphasis and design balance.

Deliverables included a full brand book and corporate stationery system.
