REACH 2030 + Beyond
A Creative Partnership to Power Regional Progress
In 2025, REACH (Regional Economic Action Coalition) reached a pivotal point—five years into its visionary REACH 2030 initiative aimed at transforming California’s Central Coast into a vibrant, inclusive economic hub. With major progress under their belt—7,800 jobs in the pipeline and $342 million in public investment—the organization needed to sharpen its focus, amplify its message, and inspire continued momentum.
With a foundation of years of collaboration and trust, Matchfire was once again brought in to help guide REACH through the next evolution of their mission. We once again joined forces with REACH and agency partner PDDG to evolve the REACH brand experience. From digital design to campaign storytelling, the goal was to ensure the next phase of REACH’s journey was as impactful as its foundation.
The Ask
REACH needed more than just a visual update—it needed a creative partner to help articulate and visualize a sharpened strategy. This included:
- A refreshed website experience to represent the Central Coast as a premier business destination.
- Updated collateral to support outreach and stakeholder engagement.
- A compelling, campaign-ready visual system to align with their expanded focus on Jobs, People, and Housing.
Rather than “celebrating” past progress, the emphasis was on showcasing impact to date while positioning REACH for the bold actions ahead.

The Solution
Matchfire delivered a suite of creative work that blended thoughtful strategy with elevated design execution.
Website Redesign
We reimagined REACH’s homepage and key landing pages—Grow Here, Live Here, and Key Industries—with an updated, sophisticated aesthetic. The new designs featured scroll-based animations, fixed scroll modules, textured backgrounds, and accordion components that elevated the user experience without overwhelming it. Each page built on the visual storytelling of the homepage to maintain consistency and bring energy to the REACH narrative.
Additional functionality enhancements included hero redesigns, spotlight carousel features, and refined callouts to guide users through content intuitively. All of which was designed to better communicate REACH’s regional goals while staying rooted in the established brand identity.

Collateral Design
We partnered closely with the REACH team to overhaul their core pitch materials. The PowerPoint deck featured a new visual language, bold infographics, and a clear narrative structure that allowed for flexible, audience-specific storytelling. Thoughtful use of transitions and slide animations added movement and attention where it mattered most.

We also designed a printed fold-out “origami” brochure for event distribution—an engaging, tactile experience that revealed REACH’s initiatives in sequential stages. Its unfolding design was not just visually engaging but also symbolic of REACH’s mission: to gradually and strategically expand opportunities across the region.

Report Design
To support the REACH 2030 + Beyond campaign, Matchfire developed a comprehensive report that balanced strategic content with creative storytelling. The layout was crafted to keep readers visually engaged while digesting data-heavy insights. Designed around the three “Big Bets”—Jobs, Housing, and People—the report used visual anchors, infographics, and color-coded sections to clearly articulate REACH’s goals and measurable progress. The result was an informative piece that felt connected to REACH’s brand but signaled a forward-looking, energized future.

The Outcome
The new creative system helped REACH reengage current supporters and capture the attention of new ones. The enhanced website experience provided an intuitive, compelling platform to showcase regional progress and strategic direction. The fresh presentation deck and brochure elevated how the organization communicates with stakeholders, policymakers, and potential partners.
And perhaps most importantly, the “REACH 2030 + Beyond” report stood as a centerpiece of the campaign—capturing five years of achievement while laying the groundwork for action over the next five.
With Matchfire’s help, REACH now has the tools and visual narrative to continue driving real progress for the Central Coast—and to tell that story with purpose, clarity, and momentum.
